The second category is for plastic sledges and you can see the range HERE. A plastic sledge is a cheap and cheerful way to enjoy that sudden snow shower and day off school! In Britain sledge is the general term, and more common than sled. Most commonly sleds are used on snow or ice, however in certain cases they may be used on any surfaces, especially on ones with relatively low friction, such as sand or wet grass. Our sledges are made of high quality, moulded HDPE and CE certified. They are lightweight and safe for children over the age of 3 to use. It can snow at anytime over the winter in the UK so be prepared – so order one today.
The third category is for sleighs and you can see the range HERE. The sleigh as we know it is a more substantial and better built sled or sledge. It has a smooth underside or possessing a separate body supported by two or more smooth, relatively narrow, longitudinal runners that travels by sliding across a surface. Most commonly sleds are used on snow or ice, however in certain cases they may be used on any surfaces, especially on ones with relatively low friction, such as sand or wet grass. They may be used to transport passengers, cargo, or both. Santa Claus probably has the best known sleigh! These sleighs are a more traditional looking range to compliment the cheap and cheerful plastic sleds.
The fourth category is for snow racers and you can see the range HERE. The clue is in the name! Snow racers are the quickest sleds on any hill but are maneuverable due to the built in steering wheel. Not suitable for young children. Extreme adventurers take a Snow Racer with them to the top of a mountain and chuck themselves downhill. But for the vast majority the tobogganing slope round the corner or at the skiing centre is perfectly adequate for providing that dizzying feeling and the broad smile. Our wide range means it’s guaranteed you’ll find a product to meet your needs and satisfy your stringent requirements with regard to design, quality and performance.
